Gingerbread in Christmas Hat Set

Gingerbread in Christmas Hat Design Set in four embroidery techniques in 2 or 3 sizes for hoop 4x4" and 5x5". 
These adorable Gingers can be made in four embroidery technique :

- Direct Embroidery - stitch directly on fabric. Use a stabilizer according your fabric, best one – cutaway stabilizer.
- Applique - with two applique objects for body and hat. Stitch on cutaway or tearaway stabilizer depend of your fabric. How to understand applique objects in Colors Chart? Which color  will be auxiliary for applique?
Light green color - the outline of the applique object. Shows the area of design that should be covered by piece of fabric. You can use any thread color you want; it's going to be covered anyway.
Magenta (pink) color (always goes after green) is the tacking stitch. You can use any thread color you want; it's going to be covered anyway. Tacking the applique sandwich down by narrow zigzag. Zigzag shows the area where you need to cut away the excess applique fabric.
- Patch – it’s a patch which you can use as sew on patch for any projects or use them as present toppers, and even as Holiday gift tag, Hang them as ornament on a Christmas Tree or as toy. Use any fabric for body and hat, felt, velvet and similar fabric will be great. You can also add layer of batting to give additional volume to gingerbread shape. Stitch on cutaway or tearaway stabilizer depend of skills. Cutaway excess of stabilizer after complete stitch. You can add hanger during embroidery. Thread 6 (light green color) created especially for it.
- FSL - Free Standing lace (FSL), as the name implies, it’s a lace that you don't have to stitch on other fabric. For stitching FSL designs you need water-soluble (WSS) stabilizer (looks like non-woven fabric I've found to be best, no transparencies look like film). Better result you will have if use 2 layers of stabilizer and hoop them very tight. Stitch it as regular design. If lace to be seen from both sides, use matching bobbin thread. But it's not necessary. After stitching remove embroidery from hoop. Cut excessive stabilizer all around the embroidery. Wash embroidery in warm water. Let a dry and iron it (if it require).
